ECS Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Assistant Store Manager for our client based in Tallaght.
Main Responsibilities
Staff Management
- To prepare rosters, approve leave and ensure timesheets are sent to payroll on time in the absence of the store manager.
- Along with the store manager identify staff training requirements.
- To ensure that staff are fully trained on standard operating procedures to include the cash register, ID check procedures and stock.
- To ensure staff are well always presented and wearing the correct uniforms.
- To work well as a part of the team and to report any concerns over staff performance or behaviour to the Store Manager.
Customer Service & Sales
- Delivering the top-class standards of customer service
- To ensure high standards of customer service are developed and maintained in store.
- To communicate and train staff on products and promotions.
- To ensure that any customer service issues or complaints are communicated to the store manager and dealt with under his/her guidance.
- To ensure the store is presented to the highest standard under the guidance of the store manager and marketing.
- That all prices, shelf talkers, tasting notes and signage are current and displayed correctly.
Standard Operating Procedures
- To always ensure that the store is compliant with the Intoxicating Liquor Acts
- Cash is handled in accordance with company procedure.
- To monitor best before dates and ensure correct stock rotation.
- Assist in quarterly stock takes and reconciling same.
- Entering dockets / stock transfers etc on system
- Identifying security threats
- Opening and closing the store in accordance with the procedures
- Documenting incidents in the Incident Book
- Ensuring that Health and Safety guidelines are always adhered to.
Ideal Candidate
- Full permission to work in Ireland at the time of application.
- Flexibility required as the role is rota based 5 over 7 days.
- Full time , Permanent role
- Good wine knowledge desirable but not essential
- Previous retail store management desirable
- Good communication skill, team player
