The barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers in a timely and courteous manner. The role involves creating a positive customer experience, maintaining the cleanliness of the workspace, and ensuring the quality of the products served.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
    • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Provide information on menu items, making recommendations when requested.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  2. Beverage Preparation:
    • Prepare coffee and espresso beverages according to standard recipes.
    • Operate coffee brewing equipment, grinders, and espresso machines.
    • Ensure the quality of beverages served meets company standards.
  3. Food Handling:
    • Prepare and serve light food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and snacks.
    • Maintain proper food handling and sanitation standards.
  4. Cash Handling:
    • Process transactions using the point of sale (POS) system.
    • Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments accurately.
    • Balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
  5. Cleaning and Maintenance:
    • Keep the work area, equipment, and customer seating area clean and organized.
    • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
    • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
  6. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and inform the manager of stock shortages.
    • Assist in receiving and stocking supplies as needed.


  • Previous experience as a barista of 1 year
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
