Chef de partie

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the preparation, production, and service of high-quality dishes in line with our high standards and food safety regulations. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Section Management: Oversee the daily operations of your assigned section, including cooking, plating, and presenting dishes with consistency and quality.
  • Menu Planning & Preparation: Understand daily menu requirements and prepare mise en place ahead of each service period to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Supply Coordination: Monitor and maintain adequate supplies at cooking stations, and promptly report any shortages or low stock to senior chefs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure food quality meets the restaurant’s standards, and that ingredients are stored properly to prevent waste and spoilage.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold HACCP and COSHH standards, maintain cleanliness in your work area, and conduct daily temperature readings for safety and quality control.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure kitchen equipment and fixtures are in good working order and not misused.
  • Training & Development: Participate in training initiatives to enhance your skills and improve performance within the kitchen team.
  • Customer Interaction: Positively engage with guests and colleagues, promoting a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service.

General Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to cleanliness and safety standards, keeping work areas tidy and reporting any hazards or accidents promptly.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct, adhering to dress code and grooming standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support overall kitchen operations and efficiency.

Health and Safety:

  • Follow statutory and legal requirements for fire, hygiene, health, and safety, as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Participate in fire and safety drills and model safe conduct for guests and colleagues.

Teamwork & Flexibility:

  • Work as part of a cohesive team, providing support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by management to support the smooth running of the kitchen.
