Cleaning Manager – Pharmaceutical Facilities
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of cleaning services, with a specific focus on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness within the pharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery Management: Oversee and manage the efficient delivery of cleaning services within the pharmaceutical plant. Ensure that all cleaning activities meet both GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Non-GMP standards.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations and adhere to pharmaceutical industry standards. Implement and uphold cleaning protocols that align with pharmaceutical plant requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing cleaning team. Foster a culture of excellence, responsibility, and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with plant management and other stakeholders to understand specific cleaning requirements and priorities. Review and contribute to the continuous improvement of cleaning strategies and practices.
  • Protocol Adherence: Drive a zero-harm mindset throughout the plant, ensuring compliance with both company and pharmaceutical industry protocols.
  • Scheduling and Task Management: Develop and implement individual cleaning work schedules, ensuring tasks are carried out to a high standard and meet contractual specifications.
  • Client Engagement: Liaise effectively with client representatives, promptly addressing any issues or complaints. Attend client meetings, actively contributing to site procedures, suggesting improvements, and providing valuable feedback.
  • Financial Management: Ensure that financial targets are met or exceeded, closely managing costs and revenues. Explore opportunities to grow profitable cleaning services within the pharmaceutical plant.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in delivering a consistently high level of cleaning and leading a team, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Solid understanding of budget management and administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of effective stock management practices.
  • H&S qualification – IOSH or similar.
  • GMP/clean room experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong people and resource management skills.
  • Experience working within a standards/compliance environment.
