Conference & Events Executive

ECS Recruitment is seeking a passionate and organized Conference & Events Executive to join our client, a prestigious 4-star hotel in Dublin. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a family-run environment with a variety of attractive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Management:
    • Coordinate and execute events, conferences, and meetings from start to finish.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and ensure their vision is realized.
    • Oversee the logistics and details of events, including room setup, catering, and audio-visual needs.
    • Manage vendor relationships to ensure all event needs are met.
  • Client Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
    • Handle client inquiries, bookings, and requests promptly and professionally.
    • Conduct site inspections and guide clients through the event spaces.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
    • Monitor expenses and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior staff during events.
  • Post-Event Evaluation:
    • Collect feedback from clients and attendees to assess event success.
    • Implement improvements based on feedback for future events.
  • Adherence to Standards:
    • Maintain a high standard of quality in all aspects of event planning and execution.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
