Head of Finance

ECS Recruitment is seeking a dynamic Head of Finance to join our esteemed client in Naas, Co. Kildare. As the Head of Finance, you will play a critical role in guiding the financial direction of the organization, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Provide expert financial advice and guidance to the Senior Management Team.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies and plans in line with the organization’s goals.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the organization and offer regular reports to the CEO and Board of Management.
  • Financial Operations Management:
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, auditing, and taxation.
  • Manage cash flow, investments, and asset management to promote the financial health of the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to protect the organization’s assets.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, advising on potential impacts and recommending solutions.
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis:
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team on strategic initiatives and business planning.
  • Conduct financial analyses to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide insightful financial recommendations to advance organizational objectives.
  • Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the finance team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of professional development within the team.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the key financial liaison with external stakeholders, such as auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Cultivate strong, positive relationships with stakeholders to support the organization’s financial goals.
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CEO or Board of Management.
  • Stay up to date with trends and developments in the national disability sector program, adapting strategies as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, ideally within the disability or nonprofit sector.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a history of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration across all levels.
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €70,000.00-€84,800.00 per
