Internal Sales Representative – Insulation

The role involves handling incoming sales calls, processing sales orders and inquiries, and assisting customers at the trade counter with sales and product/technical advice. You will also interact with suppliers regarding product information and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers, colleagues, and suppliers to understand and meet product and specification requirements.
  • Manage counter sales and handle phone and counter inquiries.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers in a fast-paced sales environment, ensuring high levels of customer care and attention to detail.
  • Respond to customer inquiries efficiently and promptly.
  • Process incoming sales orders and quotation requests.
  • Coordinate purchasing and transport functions to ensure complete order fulfillment.
  • Maintain organized records of all quotations and orders received via phone or email.
  • Support the external sales team with quotations, monitoring targets, credit collections, and samples as needed.
  • Manage sales invoicing and customer pricing.
  • Complete cash sale processes accurately.
  • Perform scanning and filing duties related to completed sales orders and weekly reports.
  • Keep quotation and project files current and organized.
  • Cross-sell our product range to customers effectively.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in internal sales or sales administration within the construction industry,  preferably insulation.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work as part of the internal sales team and independently to meet sales targets.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships both internally and with a wider network.
  • Engage with suppliers on product, technical, and support inquiries.
  • Accurate sales order input.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of insulation-related products is an advantage.
