Risk and Compliance Manager

This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality standards. The Safeguarding, Risk and Compliance Manager will oversee the Quality management systems and lead the compliance function in line with regulatory requirements, legislation, and internal quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee auditing, safeguarding, compliance, quality improvement, and risk management processes.
  • Ensure all members are protected from abuse and support staff in safeguarding matters.
  • Monitor safeguarding trends and compile quarterly and annual reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on safeguarding issues.
  • Advise on critical incident reviews and monitor implementation of recommendations.
  • Lead risk management efforts, ensuring effective systems and accountability.
  • Track key performance indicators for risk management.
  • Develop and implement the Quality Management Framework in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and conduct audits, set improvement action plans, and evaluate control effectiveness.
  • Address non-compliance issues and collaborate on compliance initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and support to employees and the quality and compliance team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and deliver training.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and collaborate with stakeholders on quality, risk, and safety.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 7 Degree in Social Care Studies, Health, ID Nursing, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Quality Management preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a compliance management role.
  • Experience in risk management and health and safety within social care.
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and legislative compliance.
  • Proficient in IT and data analysis for effective decision-making.
  • Full driver’s license and own car.
