ECS Recruitment are currently seeking Staff Nurses for our client based in Bettystown, Co. Meath.
Main Responsibilities
- Follow the Code of Professional Conduct guidelines as set down by An Bord Altranais
- To provide and maintain effective, individualized nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, as appropriate to every resident
- Ensure all treatment and procedures are carried out correctly, safely and effectively, especially in emergency situations
- Implement change in accordance with new development in nursing research
- Maintain safe custody, proper checking, and safe administration of all drugs, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by An Bord Altranais
- Ensure that the treatment and medication prescribed is correctly administered and recorded
- To keep up to date and accurate records of the resident health condition, drugs and medications administered, and any other pertinent data and observations
- Practice infection control techniques and use proper barrier nursing
- Provide supervision and training for all Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistant Staff
- Monitor ordering, receipt and distribution of stock and supplies
- Ensure that all incidents and near misses are adequately and objectively reported and appropriate action is taken
- Be knowledgeable of fire and safety policies and act as a fire marshal when assigned
- Abide by the Centre’s Policies and Procedures and set guidelines
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum qualification is Registered Nurse with current An Bord Atltranais Registration
- Full permission to work in Ireland at the time of application
